"I have tried many other calming products and most seem like a waste of money. This one, on the other hand, is worth every penny. I had a mare that was a dragon and it made her semi-normal in about 3 days. When you know that you are going to be in stressful situation you can double the dose. It's safe and legal."

How much do I feed?

Feed one scoop per day, every day. Results can be seen in 72 hours to 4 weeks, dependent on the horse. You may double the scoop before and during stressful events, or for additional efficacy.

Magnesium

Many horses are deficient in magnesium levels, with common signs such as muscle tremors, a lusterless hair coat and intolerance to work or exercise.

L-Tryptophan

After absorbing L-Tryptophan, the body converts a portion into seratonin, which can help regulate a horse's mood.

Thiamine (B1)

Supplementing Thiamine helps specifically with nervousness, especially for horses with high energy.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is this show legal?

Our research has shown that Tryptophan is not prohibited in any regulating organization, including the AQHA, USEF, FEI, etc. We have many customers that actively use the product and have had their horses tested with no positive result. If you are concerned, please reach out to your association.

Can Calming be giving to pregnant mares?

We have not tested Calming on pregnant mares and therefore would ask you to consult your veterinarian first.

Is this safe for insulin resistant horses?

The binder we use is rice bran that has a 29% nonstructural carb level with a 33% fiber level. No other sugars added to the formula. Basically, feeding a daily serving of Calming is equivalent to feeding your horse 1 oz. of rice bran. Hope that helps!

How long will it take to see results?

It takes 72 hours to be fully absorbed in the system, a couple weeks to begin to overcome some of the mental aspects of their anxiety, and 72 hours to leave the system.

Is this a sedative?

No - this is an all-natural calming supplement made with no sedatives or medications. Your horse will still be alert as normal.

I have a smaller than average/larger than average horse. How much do I feed?

1 scoop/day is the serving for the average 1100 lb horse. You can adjust up or down accordingly - e.g. a 500 lb pony would get approximately half a scoop.

Works great

I have a mare on the 707 calming. It took a couple weeks for me to see a difference and then I had her on it for a few months. I took her off of it thinking it’s probably not really doing anything but within a week she was a hot little mess. I reordered and after being on it for a week she’s back to being a calm and sweet girl.

Our younger mini horses are in training to be therapy and equine assisted learning partners. They are very easy going minis, but the added benefit of calming and focus helps build their confidence.

Working exactly as hoped

My mare was anticipating the next moves in the show pen and after 1 month on the calming supplement that has gone away and our performance greatly improved as a result.

Great calming supplement

I started my reactive thoroughbred on this about 2 months ago. He is athletic and sensitive, and I had been using magnesium based paste at shoes to help him focus (particularly dressage). Since starting 707 calming he is still himself, but less worried and reactive at shows, without additional pastes. He eats it when mixed into his breakfast no problem. This has been a great addition for us!

Tried it

As a retired veterinarian, I am able to do insulin levels monthly on my mare. I had a couple of tests that were a bit better than with insulinwise, but the last two have gone back up to the 40 range. I am going back to insulinwise
