Formula 707 Calming contains COMPLETE support for the three processes that lead to a balanced central nervous system: serotonin, relaxation and energy metabolism. A horse that’s nervous, jumpy and easily distracted is hard to train, difficult to work with and dangerous to be around. While some horses are born nervous, others may suffer from environmentally induced stress. Among the symptoms of low magnesium are nervousness, muscle tremors, a lusterless hair coat and intolerance to work or exercise. Thiamine deficiency may be expressed in nervousness, irritability, excitability, elevated blood lactate and pyruvate, and muscle cramping. Both are more likely to occur in horses on a high-carbohydrate (i.e. high-grain) diet. Formula 707 Calming uses premium quality magnesium oxide to maximize bioavailability and combines it with two of the agents best known to have a calming effect in horses, thiamine and L-tryptophan.

Q & A

If this is given once a day will the effect wear off before I ride? Or does the supplement remain in the system for 24 hours? Or should I feed in the morning if I am riding in the afternoon? Thanks Katie asked on February 15, 2021

Hi there!
After consistent feeding of Calming Pellets, the effects should be constant. You should expect to see noticeable results 10-14 days after first beginning to feed, but in some horses, it may take a bit longer for the full effects. You can also increase the serving size safely to prepare for potentially stressful events like showing, trail rides, or traveling. When increasing the dose, it is most effective to double the dose the evening and then the morning before an event.

How does this work in comparison to Mare Magic? Susan asked on February 3, 2021

We take a different approach to anxiety relief. While Mare Magic utilizes raspberry leaf, Formula 707 Calming takes a three-way approach with magnesium, thiamine, and tryptophan. We can't speak to the efficacy of other supplements, but we can assure you that you should see noticeable results within 4-10 days of administering the supplement. In addition, Formula 707 Calming pellets are safe to use when showing.

Will this make my horse slow?? Christina asked on January 29, 2021

Hi! This product should not make your horse slower or make them act sedated. It is designed to take an anxious horse's edge off.

I did a lot of research on calming products before deciding to purchase this one. My TWH gelding has great ground manners but was very nervous and anxious under saddle. After one week I've noticed a difference. He seems even more laid back from the ground, and under saddle was much calmer and quieter. My trainer noticed a difference with him as well. I was actually thinking of selling him because his nervous behavior was making me nervous, but now rethinking that decision if he continues to be a calm boy. Glad I tried this before selling him!

I’ve used different calmers on my Thoroughbred but Formula 707 seems to be the winner. Less hyper reactive responses and happier horse.

I have ONE SASSY MARE. She is always looking for a fight and loves to run away when I want to catch her. Day 3 of this supplement she is a dream horse (LIKE a gelding) 🙂 LOVE this product.
