Who We Are
John Ewing Company was founded in 1946 as a manufacturer of animal feed. It operates today, as it has for most of its existence, from the town of LaSalle, Colorado, in a rich agricultural region near Greeley, about an hour north of Denver.
With the creation of Formula 707 in 1960, John Ewing Company became a major player in the equine nutritional supplements market and today manufactures an entire line of Formula 707 horse health products.

The National Animal Supplement Council (NASC) is an industry group dedicated to protecting and enhancing the health of horses and companion animals throughout the United States. Founded in 2001, NASC Members are manufacturers of animal supplements who are committed to upholding the highest standards of quality in the industry today.
Representing the majority of the industry in the US, NASC members have agreed to:
- Cooperatively develop and implement consistent standards for quality and production process control.
- Develop and implement a National Adverse Event Reporting System.
- Form a Scientific Advisory Panel, consisting of recognized experts.
- Educate, develop and implement consistent labeling guidelines.

John Ewing Company partners with reputable veterinarians, nutritionists and testing facilities to bring new products to the market. John Ewing Company does not, however, pay honorariums, indirect remuneration for ancillary testing, or any other payment which could influence the neutrality of the testing. Animal health is our passion, and we will continue to develop products that enhance the lives of animals and their owners.
